The Red River Rebels will be back, after more than 1,000 students surveyed they wanted to revive the sports team. The teams discontinued after COVID-19.
The Red River College Students’ Association (RRCSA) will be the first student organization in the Manitoba Collegiate Association Conference (MCAC) to operate and fund the Varsity Athletics on a campus, according to the RRCSA Varsity Athletics Statement.
There will be a women’s and men’s basketball, volleyball, and a cross-country running team, the statement said. All students will be able to watch home games for free on campus.
